FAQs

How are sessions carried out?

Sessions are provided through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, allowing you to attend therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

At this time, I provide individual therapy sessions only and offer virtual therapy services for adults located in Texas and Arkansas.

Do you work with children or teens?

No. At this time, I provide therapy services for adults ages 18 and older.

My practice focuses on supporting adults navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, relationships, trauma, anxiety, and other concerns that impact daily life.

How long is each session?

Standard therapy sessions are approximately 53 minutes in length.

Initial intake sessions are typically longer and may range from 60–90 minutes depending on your needs and the information we need to discuss.

If additional time is needed, we will discuss options together and determine the best approach for your care.

How much does therapy cost?

My current self-pay rates are:

Initial intake session (60–90 minutes): $210

Individual therapy session (approximately 53–60 minutes): $160

Brief therapy session (30 minutes, established clients only): $90

I also provide insurance-based therapy options through secure therapy platforms, including Headway and Alma. These platforms assist with insurance verification, billing, and claims processing.

Insurance coverage varies by plan. Please contact me directly or verify your benefits through the appropriate platform to determine whether your insurance is available.

If you are unsure about your insurance benefits, you may contact your insurance provider and ask:

  • Whether behavioral health services are covered
  • Whether telehealth mental health services are covered
  • Whether you must meet a deductible before coverage begins
  • Your copay or coinsurance responsibility

A superbill may be provided upon request for eligible clients; however, reimbursement is determined by your insurance company and is not guaranteed. Clients are responsible for understanding their insurance benefits and financial responsibility.

What can I expect from my first session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, discuss what brings you to therapy, and begin identifying your goals.

We will explore your current concerns, strengths, and what you hope to accomplish through therapy. Together, we will create a treatment plan that reflects your needs and goals.

After the initial session, we will determine an appropriate therapy schedule. Sessions may occur weekly, biweekly, or monthly depending on your needs, goals, and level of support needed.

What if I need to cancel or miss an appointment?

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed appointments may result in a late cancellation or no-show fee.

Insurance companies do not reimburse for missed appointments; therefore, these fees are the client’s responsibility.

What therapy approaches do you use?

I utilize an integrative approach to therapy, meaning I incorporate different evidence-based approaches based on your individual needs, goals, and experiences.

My training includes:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
  • Motivational Interviewing

I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative, individualized, and focused on helping you develop skills and insight that support lasting change.
